Background
Founded in December 2008 by André and Andriette de Vries, Africa4Jesus began as a ministry devoted to feeding and clothing the impoverished. From that foundation it has grown into a vibrant discipleship movement, dedicated to guiding youth and young adults into missionary service and helping them discover their God-driven purposes.
The first cohort of 12 full-time students commenced in 2010. That year the school operated on a small rural plot in an area called Gong-Gong, where all students lived in tents beside the Vaal River. Over time the ministry expanded significantly and now occupies newly constructed facilities on 120 hectares of land, located 24 km outside Kimberley in the Northern Cape of South Africa.
Vision
To establish sustainable discipleship schools that restore, train and equip individuals from all nations—helping them find meaning in life and fulfil the Great Commission through their unique callings.
Mission
• To send graduates back into their communities restored, inspired and well equipped to serve society positively.
• To restore dignity in countless lives through Biblical discipleship.
